Apple & Cinnamon Porridge


Ingredients:


½ cup of GF Oats

½ teaspoon of cinnamon

½ cup sultanas – optional

½ cup of stewed or fresh apple

1 cup of liquid water or milk option

Method:

Place all ingredients into a pot on the stove and cook for about 5 minutes. You can microwave but just don’t tell me as you are destroying some of the nutritional value by cooking using this process.


Note: If you are a bit sensitive in the tummy please try soaking your oats overnight as this will release the phytic acid from the oats and make them much easier to digest and faster to cook as well if mornings are a hurry. Check out the article – Why Soak your Oats
